Description

This bumblebee is round and fuzzy, and returning to a small nest after a long day gathering pollen and feeding on nectar. Bumblebees are important pollinators, and their declining numbers due to habitat destruction, use of pesticides, and mechanization of agriculture, is of great concern. The largest bumblebee in the world lives in Chile, and is about 1.5” long!
